Medicare Easyclaim is the fast and easy way to claim your Medicare rebate.

Noosa Optical has been providing the Medicare Easyclaim service to our clients since 2009. Thousands of our clients have already used the system in our practice which takes less than two minutes to process.

Medicare Easyclaim lets you claim your Medicare rebate on the spot after you've paid your account. In most cases, your money will be transferred into your cheque or savings account within minutes. Occasionally it may take longer - this depends on your bank. It's the same as a store refund being paid back into your bank account via EFTPOS.

How does it work?

1. Just pay as usual (e.g. Cash or EFTPOS)
2. We will swipe your Medicare Card and EFTPOS cards through the EFTPOS terminal
3. Keep the printed EFTPOS receipt for your records

Your medicare rebate will be paid straight into your cheque or savings account almost immediately. It's that easy!

Remember: Rebates can only be paid into savings or cheque accounts.

Can I still go to a Medicare office if I don't want to use Medicare Easyclaim?

Yes - you can still go to your local Medicare office or use any of the other claiming options that are available.

Will my privacy be protected?

Yes - Medicare Easyclaim will protect your privacy. All information sent via EFTPOS is encrypted and sent through a secure network. Financial institutions are not permitted to store or use any claiming information.

What happens if my claim is rejected?

You just take your account invoice or receipt to your local Medicare office or use any or the other claiming options that are available.

What do I do if my rebate doesn't end up in my account?

You should call your bank and ask them to follow it up for you. You may need information from your receipt so it's best to keep the receipt until you are satisfied that the rebate has been paid into your account.
