Medicare recommends that everyone has their eyes examined at least every 2 years by an optometrist.
Noosa Optical bulk-bills most optometrist consultations for Medicare card-holders. However, Medicare does not cover contact lens or domicilliary consultations and a fee may be charged for these services.
An average consultation requires a 30 minute appointment. Arrival at least 5 minutes before your appointment will maximise your consultation time.
In order to provide the best eyecare, it is necessary to request some personal details. Noosa Optical abides by the Privacy Act and Queensland Health Service Act, and will only use your personal information where it is relevant for the consultation, or in the event of further health management such as ophthalmologist or general practitioner referrals. Noosa Optical will only release patient information upon receiving a written consent signed by the patient or guardian.
