Frame Care
Our frames are made from quality materials, and general maintanance requirements are minimal.  A little care of your frames, will ensure that your frames remain in good condition for their lifetime.

Frame Care Materials:

-  Soft Cloth
-  Spectacle Case

Frame Cleaning Method:

To clean your frames, immerse your spectacles in cool soapy water (fresh dishwashing water) and dry with a clean tissue.  When dry, polish the frames with a clean, soft cloth.

All complete packages purchased from Noosa Optical are supplied with a Spectacle Case, designed to protect your spectacles when not in use.  Replacement cases, or additional cases are available for purchase.  Storing your spectacles in the supplied Spectacle Case will protect the frames from dust, scratches and other damage.

General Care:

More difficult frame maintenance is available from Noosa Optical.  We have an ultrasonic cleaning bath and can make fitting adjustments to frames.  In the case of more severe frame damage, we may be able to arrange for repairs or spare parts, depending on the damage caused.

-  Use both hands to remove your spectacles, as using one hand will loosen the frames and they will require adjustment to stop them slipping forward.  Screws will loosen more rapidly if one hand is used.

-  Nose pieces are a wearing part and may require replacement during the life of your frames, particularly in our climate where perspiration leads to nose piece discolouration.

-  Screws used to hinge the temples (ear pieces) will often loosen with time, particuarly if frames are taken on and off frequently.

Avoid:

-  Using a dirty cloth or a shirt to clean your frames as this is likely to  scratch their surface.  Scratches are not covered by warranty.

-  It is best to avoid using chemicals to clean your spectacles, as some cleaning agents are corrosive to plastic and will damage your frames or the coloured coating.

-  Allowing your glasses to heat up excessively (such a in a hot car) can warp plastic frames and will also damage the lenses.

-  Placing other items in the spectacle case with your spectacles as this is likely to damage your spectacles or damage the lining of the case.  This will not be covered by warranty.
