Our Eye Technology

To provide the most comprehensive and detailed eye health examination available, we have invested in gold-standard eye technology. We’re well-equipped to handle a wide range of eye health conditions without the need to refer our clients for further testing.

In just a split second, our machines can painlessly produce a huge amount of detailed information about your eyes. However, even the best eye technology is only as good as the time spent analysing the results.

Our Optometrists will take time to provide the care and attention required to properly interpret and apply those results to your individual circumstances.

Autorefraction Machine

Our eye test equipment:

ultra-widefield retinal imaging

Ultra-Wide Field Imaging

Detailed imaging of the retina is essential to any comprehensive eye examination. This instrument allows the Optometrist to visualise the peripheral retina and is useful in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of retinal conditions.

Optical coherence tomography

HD-OCT

We use a Zeiss high-definition optical coherence tomographer. It provides a highly detailed image of the back of the eye. Particularly useful for the macula, it is similar to an ultrasound or MRI machine image of other parts of the body.

humphrey visual field test machine

Visual Field Analysis

The Zeiss Humphrey Field Analyser (HFA) is regarded as the best visual field machine. It provides a detailed analysis of peripheral vision and optic nerve function. It is primarily used in the diagnosis of management of Glaucoma.

iCare DRSplus

Retinal Imaging

Routinely used during our comprehensive eye examinations, the DRSplus is used to image many different parts of the eye. Even where cataracts and small pupils make other methods impossible, this instrument allows detailed images.

Corneal Topographer Meredian

Corneal Topography

The Medmont advanced corneal topography is essential for complex contact lens fitting. This instrument also captures high-end images of the front of the eye and provides enhanced meibography imaging for dry eye evaluation.

IOP eye pressure test in Noosa

Intraocular Pressure

Measuring the internal pressure of the eye is an essential part of a complete eye health check. Our iCare IC100 is suitable for all patients while our Perkins tonometer is used in specific patients where greater accuracy is needed.
