Optometrist gets a new look

by | 17 Feb 2017 | News

Noosa Optical has a brand new look, and we’re still proudly 100% locally owned and operated in Noosa!

If you don’t already know us, we’re in Noosa Junction. We have complete freedom to provide the eye health services and vision products our individual clients need.

We are not a chain store! That is to say, we have not entered into any corporate contract, franchise or insurance company agreement that would dictate how we operate, what we sell or what services we provide to our clients. We are one-of-kind and entirely owned by our locally based, independent Optometrist, Catherine and her husband, Shane.

Our History – the first Optometrist in Noosa

Noosa Optical was the first established Optometrist practice in Noosa.  The practice first opened in the 1970’s in a little shop in the Lanyana Arcade, behind what is now the pharmacy on Sunshine Beach road. For many years, it was the only Optometrist practice in the shire.

In 1989 the practice relocated to the newly built Noosa Professional Centre at 1 Lanyana Way. The practice originally shared the rooms with a Psychologist and a Podiatrist back in the 1990’s.

In 2007 the practice was handed over to Catherine who is still the principal Optometrist today. The practice was re-developed in 2017 to provide the best of new, innovative optometry to our clients.
