Catherine Tromp Optometrist, BAppSc (Optom) QUT CertOcTher (ACO)

Catherine is the owner of Noosa Optical. She provides a full range of eye health and vision related consultations and has completed post-graduate training in ocular therapeutics. Catherine is registered to prescribe topical ocular medications and she is equipped to diagnose and treat primary ocular pathology, and co-manage chronic conditions such as glaucoma with local ophthalmologists. 

She has been in private Optometry practice since 2004. Her first position was in far north Queensland. The town of Innisfail was her work base but Catherine also traveled to work in Cairns as well as smaller and more remote communities around the far north.

In 2007 Catherine moved to Noosa and took over as principal optometrist and owner of Noosa Optical. Her goal for the practice is to deliver excellence in clinical eye health and vision correction for her clients. Remaining independent from corporate control is central to her aim of providing her client's with the best eye health and vision support, over the long term.

She is a member of the Optometry Australia (OA) and ProVision.  She is registered to practice in Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Catherine has two children, Laura and Stephen and is married to Shane who doubles as the practice manager for her.
